Teak is dense and has a high oil content. The natural oils prevent rotting and provide resistance to fungus, and most wood-boring pests. It is recommended to use/apply a teak sealer. (Not included)
To Avoid Mold/Mildew please set cushion aside prior to inclement weather. After use, wet cushions should be set aside to dry.
Cushion covers included are made of water repellent and sunproof materials. However, if left out in the rain or near sprinklers, the water will be absorbed through the seams. It is recommended to keep the cushions covered or indoors when not in use.
For surfaced teak oil stains, gently wash with a mild fabric cleaner and a soft bristle brush. To avoid oil surfacing on cushions, flip cushions up when not in use until oil surfacing subsides (Set in stains may require professional cleaning).
For everyday stains, Use a mild cleaner with warm water and a soft bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly and tip the cushions on-zipper side down, unzipped to ensure all water drains.
Store Cushions Separately from Teak Frame for the First year to avoid the wood's natural oils staining the cushions.
